 The color sounds of Vincent van Gogh inspire me.
 I painted this work in 1995 in my then studio at Hartenstraat 35 Amsterdam. I was short of canvases and found a number of tiles in the basement on which I intuitively depicted Vincent's feeling with acrylic paint.
 The set consists of two tiles.
 Size per tile is 21 x 21. (This work 21 x 42 cm).

 The color tones of Vincent van Gogh inspire me, it is a feeling of authenticity.
 During a trip through Provence we made a stopover.
 Walking through Arles I was overcome by a strong feeling of emotion.
 Once back in Amsterdam I started painting this feeling.

 I painted this work (and several other works) in 1995,
 in my former studio at Hartenstraat 35.
 Paintings, they always have their existence without having to name them, without color no canvas.
